One word for this lens -- SWEET!!!!!

Actually, I do have several others for this lens -- fast, sharp, and super fantastic!!!!!

Got to give a shout out to Santa -- thank you Santa!!!!!!

This picture is straight out of the camera, no processing whatsoever applied to the photo in Photoshop.

I'm giving this lens a four paws rating!  It's that good!!!

Slugo's first snowman

We received our first Christmas snow in 83 years!   It's been 3 days since the blizzard and there is still a lot of snow on the ground!

Here's a shot of Slugo's first attempt at building a snowman!

High Key Portrait

Today was "how to make a high-key portrait" day! While the camera and flashes were out, I made sure I tried the technique out on someone (I mean something) that couldn't run!

Here's Slugo with his new "high key" portrait.

Have a great day!

Colorado Vacation

Hello to all! I guess I'm going to work my way backwards from the past couple of months! Colorado is still fresh in my mind -- so I'll start with Colorado. What did I do while there? What any self respecting bulldog would do -- eat, sleep, poop (that is, pooped off)!

We stayed in Lake City, Colorado, but did most of our fishing outside of Creede, Colorado.

Here are some photos of me -- relaxing in Colorado.

Click on images for a larger picture.

I had to brush up on fly fishing before hitting the streams!

Someone left me some flowers in the screened in porch at our cabin.

Kicking back on the porch at the cabin.

One of my favorite places to eat (Creede Hotel ).

Getting ready to do some fly fishing, have to get by the cattle first!

I think I have this reversed! I believe I should be eating the trout!

While in Lake City, I decided to push a little dirt around.

Kips Grill makes the best baja tacos --ever! Mmmmmm, mmmmm -- I love Creede!

Kansas City, Mo

I love Missouri! I needed another couple of days to fit all the sightseeing in -- so I'm hoping we make another trip to this beautiful part of the country! There's corn (looks to be about 7-8' high), soybean fields, and green hills - everywhere!

We flew into Kansas City and drove to Independence. The next day, we headed to the Capitol in Jefferson City, MO. The bonus was that the Rangers were playing the Royals that week -- so we squeezed a game in!

The weather? It was hot and muggy - just like good ole Wichita Falls, Texas.

Here are some pictures of me while I was in MO.

Enjoy! Slugo

My first flight on Southwest Airlines. I didn't have to be crated - whew!

There are trees everywhere! Yes, I am a tree hugger!

Trying to hitch a ride on a train!

The prison is now closed but, you can take a tour at the Missouri State Penitentiary.

Here I am by the Missouri River.

Gee, I wanted to catch up with the Gov -- but they wouldn't let me in. Maybe I should give the Governor a heads up the next time I decide to visit the Gov at the Missouri Governor's Mansion .

Hello from the Missouri State Capitol Building!

I think she wants my number. Statue outside the Capitol.

Taking a game in at the ballpark (Rangers won). The Kansas City Royals have a beautiful ballpark. We even saw a friend from Wichita Falls, Texas at the game!

A great view of the Kansas City Skyline from the Liberty Memorial.

MMMM MMMMM best BBQ outside of Wichita Falls. I had the burnt ends, fries and the best baked beans ever! If you are in KC you should stop by and try the BBQ at Arthur Bryants

I'm holding up the Liberty Memorial . This site is a must see! You can go all the way up to the top of the monument. I didn't, I have a fear of heights!

They don't build train stations like this anymore. Here I am inside the Union Station .

Hello World!

Hola and Happy Sunday! What a great week! I finally made it out of the DFW International Airport gift shop and am eager to start my new life traveling with Rick and Frances. We'll be heading out of town soon -- so postings won't start until we get back from Bean Town!

Here's a picture of my first flight (SW Airlines flight from DFW to Kansas City, MO). I can't believe they didn't purchase a seat for me. The tray table and magazine pocket just weren't quite what I had planned on for my first plane ride! Nevertheless, I was close enough to the puke bag, I mean air/motion sickness bag, just in case the Alpo decided to go out the way it came in.

I'll be posting more pics after the next trip.
